Amenities and Facilities
Lovely surroundings make for a perfect place to unwind with a swim or a snooze under the sun. We have shady waterfront sites. Some sites have concrete patios and feature fire rings.
In addition to the boat ramp, you can tie your boat off at your site. River Riders offers rafting, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, and biking trips. We have no facilities other than a port-a-pottie on-site. The Harpers Ferry KOA campground about 3 miles away has lots of facilities available on a day use basis. They also have LP, a gift shop, and a dump station. Bag your trash and bring it back to River Riders to dispose of it in our dumpster on your way out.
Train tracks go by the campground close the tent area. They are elevated about 50 feet above the sites and across the road, but trains do come through at night on occasion. If you are a light sleeper, we advise you to bring along some ear plugs. Most of the RV sites are further from the tracks.
Prior to arriving at the campground you traveled through a short tunnel requiring you to honk your horn. Be advised that others using this tunnel will do the same. You may hear honking during your stay.
Please park your car at your site and not on the public gravel road nearby. 1 parking space is available per site.

Pet Policy:
Pets are to be kept on a leash at all times.
You must clean up after your pet.
Barking is to be kept at a minimum.
No pet shall be left unattended at any time.
Fishing Policy
Fishing is permitted at the campground with a valid fishing license. Out of state guests are required to have a state of Maryland fishing license. West Virginia residents may have a state of Maryland or a state of West Virginia license to fish at the campground.
A Maryland fishing license can be purchased online through Maryland Department of Natural Resources.
